  1. Well, I decided to do an overnight render of some changes I made to my office and didn't realize I had turned on radiosity. All I can say is 'very interesting'. I'm assuming the settings were the default.
  2. Thanks. Personally, I'd like to make the caps a brushed metal texture, since that was more of how they were in the movie. I've just been having troubles producing something procedurally that I've been happy with. Also I feel that there is something just slightly off on the glass, but I cannot put my finger on it. But I could also be wrong. I am my worst critic. An example of what I'm trying to recreate is here: Screen Captures Also I'm going for realistic, but not photo realistic, if you get my drift.
  3. Well, the level of reflections is set to the default 2. Usually for my final final renders, I up it to 5. Also the percentage of reflections is low. I usually rarely go over 25% on reflections unless I'm going for a specific look. The reflections on the chrome caps are at 10% I believe and the glass of the vials is at 20%. I don't have the file on this computer to check, but I'll get the correct ones to you once I get the chance.
  4. Looks good. I'm intrigued. For some odd reason it reminds me that the Special Collector's Edition of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes just came out on DVD.
  5. Thanks for the non-Divx format. Looks good. Very cute. Obviously, some time and love went into it. Just a little long for a logo animation
  6. I'm wondering if Thom is actually using drumsticks.
  7. A piece of set dressing for my short I'm working on. Still needs some tweaking, but I also could use some suggestions.
  8. I tried watching this, but the file doesn't play nice with VLC on my Mac. I can watch about the first ten seconds, then the image just freezes while Bobby McFerrin continues on his happy way. Is it possible to get it into another format? On2 or Mpeg4?
  9. I'm curious to know how you created the look.
  10. Looks interesting. Needs a tad moe work. I'd suggest removing the specular highlight on the leather wrapped around the pommel of the sword. Also it should be raised up from the pommel of the sword as well. The other option would be to make the pommel be wood or bone, but then you would need to make a definite division between the metal and wood/bone. The look is nice, but I'm not certain I would want to use a sword where the sharp bits sticking out of the guard were pointing at my hand and wrist. One bad block and they could get imbedded into my forearm. I'd like to see how this evolves and what the guy (or gal) looks like who wields it.
