I'm still adding more plants and cleaning up some of the surfaces.
i like that stairs scene a lot! just wondering did you use AM paint? im new to A:M and i dont know too much about this stuff. Thanks, but no I didn't use AM paint. its all decals and hair for the leaves.
You are doing amazing scenes. I like how you use the toon shading to get an illustration look. You have a unique style.Thank you. That means a lot coming from you.

Figured you guys might want to see this.

Its a toon render, that was done AM. The only composite that was done was because the trees were rendered separate. And its a city in Israel called Tzfat. The stone is called Jerusalem stone.

Just another shot I had to make for work. All comments are welcome.

What will this be used for?
A full length feature film.
That's really cool. I'd love to see it made into a HAMR project.Whats HAMR?
-
when is it gonna be textured?
Well not to disapoint... but it was textured today. And you guys will probably never see it. My boss chose what i consider to be the wrong images. If i get a chance ill texture it the way i wanted.
For now this is where I'm at.
-
Well it is toon render... I think it has always done that sort of thing.

Ask and you shall receive.

Well its been a while since i have had the chance to post in here... been so busy. Well here is another shot from work. This is before any surfacing has been done. This is also my first experimenting with the skylight. And always its toon.

B-E-A-U-T-i-F-U-L-L-!!!
What are you doing at work, where this is needed for, may I ask?
Jake
I'm the lead animator for Kashat Productions based out of Houston TX. This id for a full length feature film we have been working on for 2 years now. Got around 2 more to go...
Looks great. The second one looks like something I've seen in real life recently. The only thing that really throws it off is that there isn't any detail inside the doorway. Great job.Doug
You are right about the inside of the doorway. I'm actually still waiting on the interior designer to finalize what goes inside.

The leaves were done with hair. And due to problems with hair rendering lines around the square that the leaf image references, it was rendered in 3 layers and combined in PS CS2.

Heres a scene that i have been working on at work. Its a toon render, so be gentle...
-
Sometimes I think you have to close/reopen to see changes on some of the values.
Have you tried hitting the spacebar? It updates the window your working in. I know with hair it will calculate new changes.
-
The leaves are actually hair. The emitters are using targa leaves that have solid black outside of the leaf so all it emits is the leaf.

Here's another shot from my job that I started on yesterday. Its getting there but I still have a lot to do to it. Its toon render. All comments are welcome.

Well I looked at the link you sent, and though it is a great resource. I was thinking of doing more architectural and mechanical. Maybe some basic exercises for beginners and move from there.
-
I think your just seeing the shader coming from the toon render. Try rotating underneath and render that. That should work. If so you need to set up a .chor file. Render from there with light. you will see what you actually get. Hope that helps.

I was wondering if anyone one would be interested in me making a tutorial. I don't claim to know all the ins and outs of AM but I have learned a lot working full time for the past 2 1/2 years. I mainly am a modeler, so I could do some tutorials showing how I built some things. I was thinking about some exercises for beginners, then move to more specific items like cars or buildings.
So anyone interested? They would be free for all. Hopefully I could post them on the forums.

Great start. Can't wait to see more.
-
Would this require relocation or just sending in work. If relocation is required how long would the project be for. As well as what type of pay is expected?
-
I'm interested... I work at the moment as a modeler. We use Animation Master and the project were doing is toon render. Perhaps you could provide some more info on the project?
Shane.

Well I'm in the process of using hair to create foilage. So far so good. Now I need to model a vine. I was thinking of using splines to simulate the vine. can i use a single spline as an emitter?" One more question... Can an emmited object be given more flex points like an emmited streak?
Stairway scene.

Render times. The scene was rendered. Than all the trees at once, no set.
