  1. Nice!

    Thanks.

and you also have the problem that the normals of the five-point-patches at the top of the sink flip randomly without no reason...

It renders fine so i'm not worried about it.

When you do mechanical modeling like this, do you peak all the lines and tweak the bias handles? If so....

Is there a way to set peak on all the time for mechanical modeling?

    George

Not really sure. I adjust peaks and opens splines as I build.

    Yes, very nice start there.

I started a while ago doing my whole ground floor

and found this to be inspirational and will dig out those files

and get going again on it.

Looking forward to seeing some textures indeed.

Thanks, and I am starting on the bathroom now. So as soon as its done I will post again.

  2. Try to work on your texturing. I'm not a big fan of procedural materials. I always have better luck using images. Your model looks great. But its to clean. The image you have for reference could be used to texture it. If you need some texture application ideas, just let me know.

  3. As a matter of fact, I did have soft R turned on at that time and have since turned them off. Tell me more about the issue noober.

I have had probs before with reflections. The culprit for me was 2 things. Soft reflections were causing patches next to each other be different color. The other thing i found was objects that had no reflection needed to be set, reflectivity to 0%. This was causing things that had no reflections set render like a mirror.

    Hope this helps.

  4. That sure looks nice to me ! thanks for sharing..... what type of project is this, that is if your free to say....

Its a full length film about King David and his 2 sons.

are the lines between the bricks painted on or is that still a toonline effect?

Yes the lines are decals. Like i said it will be rendered in toon, and those kind of things really help. But with AO it wasn't so necessary but it does add a nice feel in my opinion.

  5. Hello im new to A:M.

Theres a couple of things i've already tried out in A:M, I have like discovered things myself by experimenting and so on... STILL, theres some things I wonder about:

    - Is It possible to make full lenght animations? because I noticed that the frames are only to 01:00 min

If it is like that, then is it possible to melt all the short clips together by using A:M?

    - I wish to add special 3d effects to an already made .AVI clip. I try to load the clip into A:M but it says that its an invalid choreography file.

How can I correct this? or is there any tutorial that can show how you can add 3d models into avi clips etc.

    - Is it possible to import milkshape models (ms3d)?

    Thanks for helping out

    cheers

yes, click the render to file button, then set the range to whatever.

it needs to be on a decal or as a rotoscope.

Some imports are allowed... but you will get geometry problems.

  6. I've noticed you've pretty much posted the same car in the Stills Showcase quite a while ago? http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.ph...cat=0&pos=2

Is this the same car or a new one? I thought I saw it before.

The one that I have here is a complete new model of the same car only this is the 2008. The one I did a few years ago was the 2003 model. The old was driven by Michael Shumacher. The new one that is posted here is driven by Kimi Räikkönen.
