  1. Heres where I'm at now. I hope to get on surfacing by Tuesday. I still need to build the bathroom first though...
  2. Looks great. Love the shot. Did you notice the artifacts on the tops of the buildings?
  3. Try to work on your texturing. I'm not a big fan of procedural materials. I always have better luck using images. Your model looks great. But its to clean. The image you have for reference could be used to texture it. If you need some texture application ideas, just let me know.
  4. I have had probs before with reflections. The culprit for me was 2 things. Soft reflections were causing patches next to each other be different color. The other thing i found was objects that had no reflection needed to be set, reflectivity to 0%. This was causing things that had no reflections set render like a mirror. Hope this helps.
  5. Render took about 1 hour. And ill post the settings as soon as i get a chance.
  6. Its a full length film about King David and his 2 sons. Yes the lines are decals. Like i said it will be rendered in toon, and those kind of things really help. But with AO it wasn't so necessary but it does add a nice feel in my opinion.
  7. This was another scene i had to build for work. And like the rest of the project it will be in toon. I think i heard its a night scene too. So basically i got bored and wanted to play with AO. Hope you guys enjoy.
  8. So Ive been doing some planning for my personal demo reel. Here was a test that I did. This clip when complete will be part of my demo. Don't be ruff. Its just a small taste of something much bigger on the horizon. http://hostileninja.cgsociety.org/gallery/
  9. yes, click the render to file button, then set the range to whatever. it needs to be on a decal or as a rotoscope. Some imports are allowed... but you will get geometry problems.
  10. All AM, tgas are 32 bit targas with an alpha channel.
  11. I wanted to test some tgas i found. And since im thinking of building a race track, i wanted to check this idea out. Took 5 mins to build. 12min to render.
  12. It was my understanding that AO was used for outdoor lighting. I have always used radiosity for indoor light. Try using Radiosity with one light, two if you really want. You should also use the correct light color to get the most out of your image. Heres a chart i posted to help everyone. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?act=a...st&id=35054
  13. Not sure about the shaders, I use those last, only after everything is built... until then i use basic color groups.
  14. What AMD is running at 4.2ghz? The fastest I see is the 6400+ at 3.2Ghz. If you overclocked, are you on air or have you switched to water?
  15. Heres the link to it on cgtalk.
  16. The one that I have here is a complete new model of the same car only this is the 2008. The one I did a few years ago was the 2003 model. The old was driven by Michael Shumacher. The new one that is posted here is driven by Kimi Räikkönen.
  17. Ok as for the time being, I'm done. And this will be summited to www.cgtalk.com.
  18. There is a wind deflector, its small but its there. Wow, that means a lot coming from you. Anyway heres my progress. Im so close to being done. Just a few minor details and it gets the Ferrari badges. But not until its done.
  19. Hers another render. Now any more I add is just me being annal. But I have a few more things to do before I put the Ferrari badge on it.
  20. Heres where I'm at now. Still more to do. But I'm getting close to being done.
  21. Thanks for that. I have stopped working for the night. I have a render going and it should be ready in 4 hours or so. I finished the brake light, steering wheel, brakes, and some slight tuning. I even started on some of the decals. As soon as its done ill post.
  22. Thanks man. http://www.formula1.com/gallery/testing/2008/208.html
  23. Heres the new AO render. Plus some wire frame shots of different angles I'm gonna render after i'm done with the car.
