johnl3d Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I while back I was playing with some flying robots and am trying to get a future looking building for an idea I have and thought tubes and rooms would be good so started to fool with the idea and this is the very early start. Used a flare as a stand in for robot as the scale is not correct rhouse.mov Quote
ddustin Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 John, I've modeled a few robotic arms (real world industrial types) as I have a lot of experience in the automation field. 2 are articulated arms and one is a Scara style. Interested? d Quote

johnl3d Posted October 8, 2004 Author Posted October 8, 2004 av·a·tar [ ávvə tr ] (plural av·a·tars) noun 1. incarnation of Hindu deity: an incarnation of a Hindu deity in human or animal form, especially one of the incarnations of Vishnu such as Rama and Krishna 2. embodiment of something: somebody who embodies, personifies, or is the manifestation of an idea or concept 3. computing image of person in virtual reality: a movable three-dimensional image that can be used to represent somebody in cyberspace, for example, an Internet user [Late 18th century. From Sanskrit avatāra “descent,” referring to the descent of a god to earth.] I guess number three applies here Quote
ddustin Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Chris, I followed the link. There's some bizzar message about stealing an image? What's up with that? d Quote
Ganthofer Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 The site Chris linked to doesn't allow direct links to images. Got to http://www.qcc.ca/~charlesc/pets/ click on zena and goto page 7 of 10. Quote
ddustin Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Took a while to see them, but the resemblance is there. d Quote
