thekamps Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I tried my hand at 3DTotal's threedy forum speed modeling challenge and this is what I came up with. I had to cut a lot of corners as I model slow and you only get 50 minutes. topic : "piggybank" Quote
dingo Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Hey, that looks pretty good! Keep going and put the "coin slot" in there. Would make a good rapid prototype. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted September 22, 2004 Hash Fellow Posted September 22, 2004 Cute piggy! I went and looked at some of the other entries. Geez, that's alot of pigs! Am I bad for thinking that some of them were not done in the incredibly brief time they're claiming? Or is polygon modeling really so fast? I guess they never have to worry about manually closing their 5-point patches, do they? (Ok, I'm bad.) Quote
thekamps Posted September 22, 2004 Author Posted September 22, 2004 Thanks guys! I went and looked at some of the other entries. Geez, that's alot of pigs! Am I bad for thinking that some of them were not done in the incredibly brief time they're claiming? 150 pigs and counting!! The "piggybank" contest is actually their 14th contest. If you have the time, it is worth taking a look at the 12 other contests (a lot to check out). Well, the contest is built on trust...so who knows. There is definitely a lot of creativity going on and a lot of talent. I can't model that fast or good but that is why we practice. Quote
