MATrickz Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Hey, I just came up with a new character while I was sketching last night. I'm going to build it soon. Let me know what you think, thanks! Here is the side view of it... Quote
zacktaich Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Looks pretty cool, and I think it will translate well into 3D. The one question on my mind is how the feather that goes under his eye will look in 3D. But with a perspective shot you may be able to sort out how he looks. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted May 23, 2004 Admin Posted May 23, 2004 From simple sketches often come wonderous 3D creations! Looks like it should be fairly straightforward to model. There have been many bird creatures created in A:M so you are in very good company! Zack points out a good spot that you may want to consider further as it could work as a decal... geometry of a combination of both... Zack also evidently hasn't been getting my Forum mail because there are still problems with mail going through! drat Quote
MATrickz Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 Yeah I'm still thinking about the feathers, I dont know how I'm gonna make them. Heres a front view that explains some things Quote
MATrickz Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 Oh wow I just looked that up and they are similar . Oh well mine is better Quote
zacktaich Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 A new breed of Chocobo. Dear God, I just had an FF VII flash back... I remember the Wal-Mart, the scary people, plots, and characters.... I hated that game but I was sucked in. I don't know how I thought the graphics in that game rocked. (sorry to hijack this) Quote
MATrickz Posted May 29, 2004 Author Posted May 29, 2004 Ok I'm finally getting around to modeling this...and this will be my first character to model so dont laugh if it sucks . But I have a question...you make the feathers with particles, or bump maps or something right? Also, will they cover up any small seams? Thanks Quote
