This is a good start and I agree with above comments. But the ear, and attaching it, seems to be the 800-pound gorilla when it comes to modeling heads. It looks weird, and the ear could use either more detail or more stylizing. Sorry I can't be more specific. Try to make the ear more of a "unit" with the head.

I agree with the rest of the posts.

I also look at the interior of the left side of the mouth and I would make it darker to give the contrast of the lips to the inside of the mouth. The ear I think can be pulled in closer to the head and it wont look so disjointed.

I tihnk this will make a very good character as long as you keep it in the style of cartoony..

Its really extremely good work for your firs posted head.
