a.quaihoi Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Hi all, I upgraded my pc hard drive to a larger capacity by cloning my hard drive and now my license is not valid, checked the host id and it has changed, is there a way to stop this from happening, I wish we still had dongles, would be super good right about now so I dont have to bug Jason all the time, especially when you need transition to a new computer Quote

My suggestion is to send Jason your host id per the directions here... https://www.hash.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=15&id=17&artlang=en and then put your old HD back in your computer and continue working as before until Jason is able to get you an updated license. a.quaihoi Posted May 26 Author Posted May 26 Thanks Rob, the problem was that hard drive crashed and it was a struggle to try and get windows up and running again, literally had to install windows to a spare laptop, then clone it to another drive and then boot pc ( Mac Pro 5.1 ) again, I think even if I reinstalled it again on the same drive it would have changed host id, but that ssd look like it was on its way out, have messaged Jason :) Quote
