Madfox Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 I made a model with lots of loosing ends coming out of it. My goal is to use it several times with use of dynamic constraints. So I added all loose ends with several dynamic constraints with different weights and saved the file. After using this file in an action with succesful weighted effect I saved it under a new action name. When trying to use the start action with the saved file all my dynamic constraints are gone. Is this a common fact, or isn't it possible to reuse a file that has the dynamic constraints already confirmed? Quote
Madfox Posted December 17, 2024 Author Posted December 17, 2024 wait.., it looks as if they are still saved in the original file. forget the question. Quote
Madfox Posted Saturday at 12:34 AM Author Posted Saturday at 12:34 AM again I get this queer outcome of loosing foot targets after saving a model. I have a rabbit from the extradvd and I tried to make a bone attachment. I added an umbrella and made new poses for them. The umbrella seems to work, but I don't see my feet targets have any effect. Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted Saturday at 01:55 AM Hash Fellow Posted Saturday at 01:55 AM I was able to create an IK constraint on one leg, save the model, reload it, and have the constraint survive and work correctly. So I know it is possible to make a constraint and save it in a model. All the other folders in your "Feet targets" constraint are empty, but I'm presuming they are supposed to have something in them. What rig is this? I'm guessing some step in the rigging process was omitted. If you wanted to bring this to Live Answer Time tomorrow we could look at that. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted Saturday at 08:43 PM Hash Fellow Posted Saturday at 08:43 PM We looked at this at Live Answer Time and I put in some simple IK legs. The Foot targets move the feet and the knee targets control the knee direction. The animation in the Chor shows the constraints in action. RabbitFeet008.prj Quote
