MDD export

I've been reading and watching videos for exporting animation from AM to other software

I work with MDDs out of preference and also requirements for my small studio

We're a Lightwave studio, and the current version is pretty adept at importing FBX from various sources

Having read and watched export solutions from @Fuchurand others, I would like to get a bird's eye view clarity on the following questions:

1. Is MDD broken in the current versions of AM? I've seen other users having garbled meshes upon MDD imports into other software

It seems like some models get exported with additional point information which is why the MDDs don't match to the model's point count

Is there a version of AM that fixes this?

If yes, which version would it be?

2. Will there be a FBX IO planned for AM for future releases?

I like the workflow that @Fuchursuggested involving taking animations through the Direct X route, via Ultimate Unwrap 3D

I'll be looking into that over the next couple of days to see how it handles more complex models and animations

Thanks for reading through!

AFAIK, it is not planned. There is an SDK for A:M available, perhaps a knowledgeable programmer could be recruited and commissioned to create a plugin.
