Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 23, 2022 Hash Fellow Posted December 23, 2022 According to CG lore, the title of Pixar's first short "The Adventures of André and Wally B." (1984) is an allusion to the film "My Dinner with André" (1981). However, I have just discovered there is an earlier TV movie titled "Jimmy B. & André" (1980), ostensibly the basis for the later TV series "Webster" I wonder if "Jimmy B. & André" was in the back of someone's mind at Pixar when they needed a title for their short. KingVidiot Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Interesting, I always thought the first one was "The Adventures of Andre and Wally B" (an actual bee). I was always catching the festivals of animation, even before Spike and Mike's version. PDI's first animation was "A Long Ray's Dream Into Light", IIRC. They also played a bunch of other old ones I forgot... the old days. Quote
