Squirrelly Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) I just installed the latest version of A:M, but when I try to run the program it gives the following error: "The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from you computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I've tried reinstalling several times, no joy. Anyone have a suggestion? I'm running windows 7 with Intel i7-5960X CPU on ASUS X99E WS MB Edited February 4, 2018 by robcat2075 "Solved" added to topic Quote
Admin Rodney Posted February 2, 2018 Admin Posted February 2, 2018 This appears to be a Visual Studio Dynamic Link Library that is missing from some Win 10 installations. Here's some information related to that with some suggestions for installing: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0-dll-missing-error-solved/ Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 2, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted February 2, 2018 Are you installing to the default directory? Quote
Squirrelly Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 Thanks for your responses! I never activated automatic updates when I installed windows 7 and I found that I hadn't run a single update. I cued up the backlog of updates and, after a couple of hours of downloading, installing etc., my system crashed. I finally got it all ironed out and running again this afternoon and now A:M is working. Thanks again! Quote
