Madfox
I tried to install Am2005 on a Windows7 platform. Luckely it's one of the netfree registering code. All goes well, but the programm won't start. Do I need some Visual basic programm to go?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 21, 2017 Hash Fellow Share Posted October 21, 2017 There is a hitch with that. Partial solution... https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47589&p=408097 post #
Madfox
I'm using a computer that's not connected to the net. I read the article, but I can't get the "sc start secdrv" working. Further search won't help me. To use a later version isn't an option, as it uses the lic file.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 22, 2017 Hash Fellow Share Posted October 22, 2017 Did you try the alternate method that uses the registry? Regarding current versions, it is possible to get the lic file process completed by email from Jason. Contact Jason@hash
Madfox
Well, the case is: I have one computer on internet with AMv16.0 I have win98 no internet with AM11. I got acces to another computer with windows7 and no internet. I thought it to have a try with a no net registering program. As it sadly broke the safty rules. The internet is only needed to create the license when you first install and not afterwards. Some file is created when you install, you take that to a computer that has internet and send it to Jason. He sends you back a license, you put that on the computer that has no internet.
Madfox
Yes, but then I'm installing v16 on Win7. My question was installing v11 on Win7. Of course I could install v16 on win7, send the lick file to Jonas and receive the authority. But the computer with win7 is off line because it doesn't have my identity. I'm one who keeps using older versions to see what's in there on possibilities. Programmers make better applications, manufacturers make better computers. Old programs never die, they just stay away from update to update.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 22, 2017 Hash Fellow Share Posted October 22, 2017 For v11 and other CD-keyed versions the only route i know is the two methods detailed in that Microsoft Bulletin. I did a lot with v11 when it was current including all my Animation Mentor classwork. However, the current versions are way more stable and faster. I don't think there will be much missed if you upgrade. But if you have to run v11, the two methods detailed in that Microsoft Bulletin are all I know of except to reinstall Windows 7 from one of the original disks that is not yet upgraded to omit support for the CD-keying software. Madfox
Well, the Microsoft bulletin looks too complicated for me. I'd expected a simpel way, but for now it's better first to format the win7 to my own ID. Thanks.
