Kudos to the demo team at Microsoft research who thought of excellent ways to show off the potential while adding new 'features' all the way to the end of the video.

 

I can think of several downsides to such technology but it's hard to deny the potential.

Looks like latency is still a problem. The "high-five" was more like a "high-zero"

 

This will be a boon for the executive, incarcerated or otherwise pre-occupied. Now he can spend time with his kids without having to leave to go visit them.

 

And now we can visit Grandma without having to smell her house!
