Nima Anvar Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Here's a Hi-res model of a head generated in FaceGen and imported into AM as an obj file. Nima Quote
KenH Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Looks cool! It imported well. So much potential there. What tools did you use to make it....without mentioning any software names. Quote
Nima Anvar Posted March 25, 2004 Author Posted March 25, 2004 I actually mentioned the name up top in my first post. Other people had talked about it on the forum a while people. Check it out. Quote
JackMcRip Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 looks great :-) Do you reduce the Splines by hand? Or is there a tool, plugin or a workaround to do that ????? Quote
Nima Anvar Posted March 25, 2004 Author Posted March 25, 2004 The program kicks out a hi-res or a lo-res model, depending on the Mesh you choose. Quote
genocell Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 FaceGen? Sounds like cheating to me.... Where's the fun in that? My opinion anyway... Quote

OdinsEye2k Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 What does it look like without the decal? The prog may have some potential, but the joining between head and skull looks like it's making bad polygon-type choices. On the other hand, the low spline version would be a useful start (after replacing the ear). Quote
zacktaich Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 I've heard that the fewer splines you have the better, but look at these models makes me think differently... The highres is 1000 times better. Looks cool. Quote

Looks cool. The low res model is ample for anything in AM. It just needs abit of tweaking of the bias handles etc to get rid of the "ripples". It's also easier to animate. Quote
johnl3d Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 I posted thi in the ot section awhile ago www.FaceGen.com Quote
