John Bigboote Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/9/6951375/david-letterman-hatsune-miku-anime The other night David Letterman featured a band led by a hologram, Hatsune Miku. I had never heard of her, have you? You will. This video compares pop idols like Justin Beiber to, and suggests the future may be dominated by 'entities' like Miku. Animation plays heavily thruout the scheme, and it is going-on BIGTIME as I write. INTERESTING. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 11, 2014 Hash Fellow Posted October 11, 2014 I saw the clip from Letterman. It seemed like random syllables with random body actions. The band all had that "I hope no one recognizes me" look on them. I admire their restraint in not putting huge cat ears and the naughty school-girl uniform on her but I'm still doubtful it's going to be big here. Quote
nemyax Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 It seemed like random syllables with random body actions. Here's a better example of rapid-fire syllables (and the band seems cool with playing for a vocaloid): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZwDhnCpDbs I wonder if they use real-time controls for the character.
