recorded some lights reflected in water and used them for this

 

not sure where the black dots came from will have to check and see since all items were white and reflective and no shadows was set

My first guess is that reflection levels need to be higher.

Checked and could not find source of black surfaces so trying another route for now

eliminated bouncing spheres and changed reflections in sphere by peaking all the patches and got this

since the animation file seems to hold some interest here's another tinkering attempt using it

 

uses animation to randomly displace while coloring the sphere

the project seems to lose the rotation of the color portion when saved ..just have to reset before rendering you can see this at the end of this version
