southpawami Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I was wondering if a steam version was planned. Installing steam and auto installing all my software is like a delicious plate of fluffy pancakes. And... Windows 8.1... seems to want all software reinstalled. I've got curvy3d and allegorithmic software on steam too. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 17, 2014 Hash Fellow Posted July 17, 2014 From the always-reliable wikipedia... Steam is an internet-based digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer, and social networking platform developed by Valve Corporation. That Steam? My guess is that A:M will stick to its current distribution method of the foreseeable future. Quote
*A:M User* Roger Posted July 18, 2014 *A:M User* Posted July 18, 2014 I have to say, it would eliminate a lot of the bother with product activation, or using AM on multiple systems, since you could only use it on one machine at a time, but have it available on several systems. Tablet/laptop and desktop, for instance. But I imagine Martin would have to give a pretty decent size cut to Valve, so I don't see that happening if only for that reason. Quote
pixelplucker Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Actually Steam isn't a half bad way of distributing, good advertising too. Quote
