TommyDAQ2
I'm having a problem. When I render in the modeling menu w/ the letter Q, everything is rendering dark. Isn't there typically a default source light? Why is it rendering black?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 10, 2014 Hash Fellow Share Posted July 10, 2014 First, save your work. It's not completely black, I can see a star in the middle. Is this in the model window? Is there an actual light as part of the model? That could do that. Try deleting materials one by one. Perhaps one has some weird setting you made by accident. You could also try Help>Reset settings. TommyDAQ2
Wow! That really, um... resets the settings, doesn't it! All my keyboard customizations, and everything else, all gone, but that did the trick! Thanks Rob! BTW, it fixed my decal issue as well
TommyDAQ2
BTW. there were no materials - only colored groups, and the one decal.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 10, 2014 Hash Fellow Share Posted July 10, 2014 Unfortunately, there's no proper way to save customizations but they are stored in the .MAC file. One could archive a copy of that before testing the result of Reset Settings.
*A:M User* Shelton Posted July 10, 2014 *A:M User* Share Posted July 10, 2014 Were you able to get the render to work? By the way nice model/character.
TommyDAQ2
Shelton, yes, the reset took care of it. I'll post a model test when I get home this evening, then I start the set up process, poses, and animating him. I'll post updates as I go.
