I don't know what that means :P

Their page sounds like a lot of techno babble to me.

...Is focused on the greatest common divisor between applications, the 'periodic table of cg primitives'

??? I can't find any other reference to this term other than their page.

Alembic file brings all scene (objects, lights, camera and animations) at one single file... .

It's our .cho that other applications can read it.

All recent GPU exterenal renderers are working with it.

But of course,I do not have a clue how to implement it in the A:M :)

As Martin used to say, "It's possible, like going to Mars is possible."

If it is a series of baked frames with each one containing all the information needed to render that frame, I think that is more possible than transferring rigged characters that respond to animation keyframes.

I would construct it thus:

-Bake surface

-transform everything in .obj+mtl

-create MDD ( objects+camera)

-condense in one alembic file.

simple :P
