DJBREIT
Casting shadow but not seeing the object. I need to make an object cast a shadow but it need to be invisible. I did it in the past for composite scene but I am overlooking something.
John Bigboote
You may have somehow activated the 'shadow only' option in the objects property window... turn it back to its OFF default. I hope thats it.

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted November 30, 2011 Hash Fellow Share Posted November 30, 2011 Also can someone show me how to use an image to cast shadows? Short Answer.... I think if you drag an image onto a light it will project it. Try that on a Kleig.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted November 30, 2011 Hash Fellow Share Posted November 30, 2011 It still do not work. I'm not sure what you want yet... do you want the object to be invisible but still leave a shadow?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 2, 2011 Hash Fellow Share Posted December 2, 2011 I took a look at the chor. Can you describe the effect you are trying to get? I'm unclear on the goal.
DJBREIT
It still do not work. I'm not sure what you want yet... do you want the object to be invisible but still leave a shadow? Sorry about the delay Yes that is exactly what I need. I need to merge a hand drawn animation into the background. And I need to add the shadows. But the light seems to be giving me a hard time. Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 4, 2011 Hash Fellow Share Posted December 4, 2011 Possible alternate method.... use some lights set to negative intensity to cast darkness on the chair to give the impression of a shadow.
