The last Shrek movie I sort-of saw (II or III, not sure), I caught about half way through on cable, and I thought it was mostly a yawn, and most of the bits seemed to be retreads from Shrek I. Then the cat came on and I was completely hooked for the rest of the movie. It's a great character and they make the most of him. Quote
