Bizarre Dream

So yeah, I had this weird dream about this forum last night, no idea why or what (or if) it means anything. But basically, if I remember right, something happened that I got really really angry with AM and the forum, like I said, no idea why. All I really remember was typing this really long hate letter and then getting banned from the forum. Bizarre huh? Anyone else ever dream about this place or AM, hopefully less negatively than my dream was? :P

That wasn't a dream. It really happened.

It's weird though. I had a strange dream last night too.

It was a fun dream though.. I was deleting all of your posts like they were asteroids attacking me in the classic video game, "Take that vile alien spammer!". Then I received one of those irratating forum messages that overtake your screen and freeze your mouse. It was Martin PMing me to tell me to 'wake the hell up'! and un-ban you.

Okay... part of that wasn't true.

Alright... none of the above was true. I didn't sleep at all last night.

...and trust me, at work I paid for that.

Rather seriously, I don't remember my dreams very often. I can but generally don't.

I recall as a child consciously trying to suppress my dreams to escape some nightmares where all I could perceive were subtle yet terrifying changes in light and sound. My theory is that I may have been recalling experiences from when I was an infant. At any rate, I could not endure those nightmares so I determined at that young age I would condition myself not to remember my dreams when I woke up. No dreams... no nightmares. So, no... no dreams (or nightmares) about the forum. At least none that I recall!

It seems to me your subconscious may be telling you to break away from the forum a little more often.

Well, I don't spend too much time on this forum, so I'll take it a step further and say the internet. The only thing I do is use the computer or go to work, literally, that's it, well I eat and do some chores but yeah, I have little to no life at all, so yeah, probably my mind saying "go get a life loser!" ha ha :P

I have little to no life at all, so yeah, probably my mind saying "go get a life

loser!"

I'm not much one to talk or make suggestions in this department but I find animation to be a great doorway to life. The broad range of subject matter an animator hopes to capture suggests... no... demands... we go out and at least observe life.

Everywhere we go in life we gain new understanding and perhaps best of all, we can bring our life experiences back into the realm of animation. There is good reason animation is referred to as the illusion of life.

If I were to be completely honest with myself I would have to confess I am rather anti-sports. (I use to claim I wanted a T-Shirt that said 'Ban Sports' on the front and "Especially Golf" on the back. Through my interest in animation however I am completely captivated by sports and through that I can set aside my bias against such utterly ridiculous activities. :)

Exercise is a lot like this. In the military it's rather important to stay and shape and eat healthy.

But... where's the fun in that???

Through animation I allow myself the opportunity to explore the fascinating realm of the physical and behavioral sciences. I am particularly entralled with biomechanics.

Dreams are a fascinating subject and a fertile field of ideas and can be important representations of subconscious hopes, fears, aspirations and anxieties. Even at their most odd or whimsical they may provide some insight into how thoroughly we are processing the experiences of life. If nothing else dreams help us balance real world priorities.

If animation is an illusion perhaps dreams are the equivalent distortion (the exaggeration) of life?
