Gerry
I've animated a bottle being thrown through the air and to animate it spinning end-over-end, I changed the rotation to Euler. that wasn't working so I went to change it back, but my options are only to change it to vector or quaternion, and neither of those options appear to create keyframes. How do I change the rotation back to default so I can keyframe the rotation?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 11, 2010 Hash Fellow Share Posted August 11, 2010 Quat is the default. Are you sure you haven't turned the "A" key off?
Gerry
Nope, haven't touched the A key. I seem to have fixed it and it's rendering now, I'll see if I can retrace my steps once it's done.
Gerry
Well, for what its worth, I was able to rotate the bottle, and it appears to be set to quat, but it doesn't appear there were keyframes created in the rotate properties. Can't explain kerzackly what happened, but it's flying and rotating just fine...for now.

Gerry
There are dots (and keyframes) in the rotation channels up to frame 180 although the bottle is constrained to the character's hand. then he flings it and it flies spinning through the air. But in that section (once it's in the air) there are not dots or keyframes.

If the bottle is constrained to something and you are animating it, the keyframes will be in the offset channels of the constraint.
