Tralfaz Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I really like the look and feel of an AO render and have no problem doing an AO render on a white background (see example below). I would like to be able to carry that look and feel to my final renders. Is it possible to do an AO style render when the model has been textured and it is in a scene with other elements without doing it as a white render? Thanks... Al Quote
Luuk Steitner Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Yes this is possible. I do this all the time now. Why don't you try AO on an older project? I believe you have some good ones you can try this on. Most likely you'll only have to change (dim / remove) some lights to get the look you like. Quote
bighop Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Very cool model! I've thought about making the B-9. Very nice. Any modeling suggestions for some who wants to make that model? Andy Quote

Paul Forwood Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Is it possible to do an AO style render when the model has been textured and it is in a scene with other elements without doing it as a white render? Well this example only has one object in the scene and the colour decals are turned down to nothing but the other surface properties, such as bump and diffuse colour are present: My AO test This is also a colour render which uses AO: AO Cottages.
