markeriv Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Currently whenever I try to select multiple objects via clicking and dragging in windows vista I get a square the size of the selection field that stays after I have released. Its color changes depending on what appearance scheme I use. Most commonly it is black or dark grey. Is this a problem with my vid card? I have an nvidia 6900GT. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted July 29, 2009 Admin Posted July 29, 2009 Is this a problem with my vid card? I have an nvidia 6900GT. It is related to video card but more likely you are seeing problems with Windows Vista's Aero properties. I turned my settings off and haven't seen any similar problems since. I must admit though that I've forgotten where to turn the Aero properties off. It should be in your Vista Control Panel. Note: It is a good idea to double check and make sure you have the most current video driver for your card. Quote
otroc Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I still have display Issues when I turn Aero off,no colored square but I still get a small section of my real time Image that moves instead of the entire workspace when I zoom. I noticed this with Vista and win 7 I have a nvidea 9600 g force with updated drivers too. Very frustrating... Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 9, 2010 Hash Fellow Posted October 9, 2010 Welcome to the A:M Forum! on the icon for A:M and open up the Properties window In the "Compatibility" tab select "Turn off Desktop Composition" try that. If you're getting a small area only of the window that is updating , try hitting the SPACE bar to force a whole window update. Some graphics cards also work better depending on whether the model window is maximized or not maximized. You might also try Show Workbook On or OFF. Quote
