I'd point you to the forum search feature in the top right corner, but it doesn't allow for words less than four characters long. Sooooo.....

 

Fog colour is set in the camera. The background colour in there is the fog colour. Then you have to turn on the fog option. In there you'll see some options to alter the fog strength. Nowadays, there's even a realtime representation of the fog to make it easy to see what the render will look like. Easy!

fog can be done with sprites ..think smoke with more transparency and they can rise from any model

this is the smoke material that comes with v15 made more transparent not sure were I got the model but threw this together just now
