one part color one part clear

OK iv finaly managed to make a material that look like a energy shield , only problem is that its white and blue and not see through , i need a way to make the white completely see through while only the blue half. any ideas

made its attribute transparent ?

The only thing I could think of to do that is A) Create a mixed material and have one of the attributes transparent or use a transparency map.
