Makeing a warp core

ok with all the model making if been doing with ships and such its goten to the point where iv actualy made a few that for lack of words ......... actualy look ok , know for one of them i would like to add a warp core lookalike to a section , if you ever watched star trek the next gen you know what im taking about , but i dont know of a way to do this any ideas

Could you do a Youtube search to post a link to the effect from Star Trek? Might help. You also might gather a further field of response by taking the extra 10 seconds to use punctuation, capital letters where warranted and a spell-checker. OK i did some searching and found a you tube video

You mean the pulsating rings?

 

make a set of rings and you can keyframe the color and ambient intensity for each one individually, to make them pulse in sequence.

OK what settings did you modify to do that, if i recalled correctly glow was something you could not change in intensity and the effect you just gave is what i need

look at the chor. See how the color and ambience of each group is keyframed. That's all there is to it.
