lights themselves are not visible by the camera. You need to add a lensflare, which is really just a trick that adds the flash around the light location.

 

Any sort of light should work.

 

a sphere with glow may do fine also with out a light at all.

I would make it a little lighter with a tint of orange. With lens flare it should look fine either way.

I couldn't seem to get the lens flare working :blink:

I turned it on but nothing.

but it came out good with the vulture being block out around the edges by the suns glow, so It worked good enough.

The Sun wouldn't have any part of it shaded or in shadow. The sun is light and nothing else. You'd have to set that sphere to 100% ambient intensity.

 

But why are you not using a lens flare?
