Exporting a model as .3ds

Hi - the other day I posted asking if you can export a model as a .3ds and I was told yes. My new question is - can you export a fully rigged model and have someone pull it into 3Ds and animate it using the AM rig?

No. If they want to use an A:M model in another program it will need to be rigged in that program.

 

Aside from bone placement, CP weighting and constraints would all have to be translated somehow. And there is nothing like Smartskin in other Apps, i believe.
