LIGHTBEING Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 question, is there a way to tweak the gold, in the a.m. libraries to look like this picture? i want to have the gold render with the lines in it like this picture, its more realistic looking, or do i have to find a gold texture? thx Quote
paradymx Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 One way to pull off what you want is the use that image you want as a projection map or image map. The proj map is a material attribute option where you can choose whatever image you like and adjust to your needs. The image itself and be applied to the geometry either buy decal or right clicking a group and choosing add image. but that's just one way. Quote
LIGHTBEING Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 i want verry fine lines in the gold, to make it look like real a real gold mask, useing a decal may not look right. any ideas? thx:) Quote
Caroline Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I don't know enough about materials to tell you how to do it, but you could experiment along the lines of: Demon Skin Wood Material with grain (complex) These materials have bump lines in them. Or, you could do a decal with bump mapping for the lines. You could also do a decal for reflectivity or specular maps. Quote
Xtaz Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I suggest you to try some type of simbiont´ shader. Quote
