Teh_Demon Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Just started yesterday and this is what I have got so far. Tell me how it looks and anything that can be helped with is, I would really like to place in this months 'toy' compitition. Quote
NancyGormezano Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Very nice choo choo demon guy - I think you'll have to work on the wood grain, to get it to follow the expected flow of the wood in spots. There are a lotta mighta picky people lurking about ready to pounce on that sort of detail. The model is very cute, well done - you might consider adding additional cars, caboose etc, tracks, maybe a clever scene, or dramatic lighting to put it in. Quote
Teh_Demon Posted October 17, 2007 Author Posted October 17, 2007 Here is an Update, and i will try fixing the grainstuff on it but i still have alot more to do *track and stuff* Athogh i figure if i have extra time after i finish then i will fix it, and then turn it in to the contest. Otherwize tho, i will just have to fix it AFTER the contest and enter it for Christmasy time or somthign *just make it.. jollly XD* Quote

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 17, 2007 Hash Fellow Posted October 17, 2007 I get Decals from a website called CG textures. its VERY handy If you used a material you could get the grain to relate properly on all sides of a piece of wood. Quote
Teh_Demon Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 Ya, but i have tried the materals on it, and none of them look.. 'right' Quote
Eric2575 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Robert, use the sweeper plugin to quickly make the tracks. In case you haven't used sweeper before, here's a link to some tutorials on it: http://www.hash.com/Sweeper/ Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 18, 2007 Hash Fellow Posted October 18, 2007 Ya, but i have tried the materals on it, and none of them look.. 'right' You know... you can modify materials to make them do what you want to do. Show us a render with a material. Quote
