zerokill
I am having an issue when I attempt to either import or open an AVI 15 second clip that I created with Windows Movie Maker: Error with AVI file. The file does not contain a video stream. Any basic rules or suggestions to start off with? Thanks, z

Have you tried any other AVI's? Hope that helps.
Gorf
Error with AVI file. The file does not contain a video stream. Any basic rules or suggestions to start off with? I haven't tried AVIs for a while, but when I did, it balked at a DV type 1 AVI, but the same movie uncompressed was fine. If you're using a file captured from a DV camera by firewire, try converting it to Type 2 using one of the many free converters out there (such as the one by Paul Glagla). I wouldnt use AVIs in A:M... if you have the possibility use a image-sequence or convert you videofiles to a image-squence (for example *.tgas) See u *Fuchur*

itsjustme
Thanks...Are there any recommended coverting tools for and AVI to TGA that are free or low cost? I found a free program here that says it can do the job. Quicktime Pro can do the conversion as well, it's around $30. Hope that helps.
