When animating an object, how do you keep it completely still in one segment between keyframes and then move it again? An example is a character that stops everything it's doing briefly, frozen in time, then looks around. It seems like any animation program won't let you do that because it only allows constant movement while you're animating. Can anyone help?

Keyframe the character into the same position later in the timeline.

Then go into the curves editor and peak the points at each end of the still time.

Thanks. This tutorial looks pretty good. I'll have to sink my teeth in it tomorrow though. My eyes are about to fall out of my sockets from staring at the computer screen so intently for hours.

Absolutely, excellent tutorial here.

The quality and completeness of this tutorial is great.

IMHO, it, or it's information should be somehow included in the TaoAM Manual.

I first struggeled with AM for months and months, if not years, before understanding these simple concepts.

Thanks so much here.
