cant get light volumetric

i put two lights in my tripod and i set volumetric on but it wont make visible light any help with this?

I don't have a solution for this, but here's a work-around in case no one else supplies one either: put a bone in place of the light in the model, and constrain a separate light to it in the choreography.

also make sure the light is not behind a patch
