ZachBG
In the Buffers tab under Output Options in the render panel, turn the Alpha buffer to OFF. Hey Noel, can that please be made the default again?
Admin Rodney Posted May 12, 2006 Admin Share Posted May 12, 2006 Hey Noel, can that please be made the default again? Maybe default OFF for everyting but TGAs and EXRs or is that the problem and they are that already? (seriously wondering but not able to confirm at present)
luckbat
You've got to be kidding. Back in the v11 days, this forum used to be filled with threads from users unable to figure out how to composite their animations with live-action footage. Now it isn't. The problem really lies more with the default Quicktime compression setting. "Animation" supports alpha channels, but the only people who ever render directly to Quicktime are newbies. So it confuses them.

If users accidentally discover the power of alpha channels that a good thing.
