For a re-make of a character picture portfolio I made years ago, which is being redone in full 3D, I am required to re-create the car that she owns. However according to her story she owns a Slimbikini Miablo VS, which would be a complete take-off of a Lambourgini Diablo.

However, I decided to create a car design that would be unique, while still borrowing some of the design ideas of the Diablo.

And because of my usual "Must document everything" nature, I still have every single render I created for this vehicle, and I thought it would be something to share.

First of all, the original image from the Portfolio: http://members.shaw.ca/nekosei/others/Picture3sm.jpg

Yep. Very bad perspective and sizing. I don't know how I expected this to make money. But you can see the character, and my attempt at a Diablo oh so many years ago.

Now for the making of renders:

Once I got that far, this was the time I decided on a new name and manufacturer for the car.

At first I was going to call it the Izami Masamune GT-S. And even rendered the full name as you will see.

But later decided to change it to the Izami Diemos GT-S.

These next images are the first batch of renders I created with the owner (Phin-Phin) so that I could figure out what was wrong with the model, and for size testing of the character to the car.

And these next images are renders after fixing most of the problems, including resizing the car so that it better fits her.

Note that the character version I'm using was a quick made version of her that was needed in a hurry for a video project in July. Mainly because this was the only version with clothes... And hair...

So her placement is rudementary, and smart skin limited to her upper legs...

Still some details I need to fix and add, but this is pretty darn close to being done reguardless.

All input welcome. I am new to this after all, and there might be something missing that I've not thought of, or something an expert might be able to note to make things better.

Things I need to add: Shocks, seatbelts, some scoring on the tailpipes...

Hey Nekosei,

Very cool car.

I am really missing that nice deep gloss and shine!!

Just my suggestions.

Cheers,

Nice work so far Nekosei, keep it up. Also, a light right can make even the most standard colors stand out. Oh yeah, is that a new Phin Phin model too? or just imported one of your older models. Looking forward to updates on that!

Well then, I'll have to add gloss and shine to the list of things to figure out how to do...

The intracacies of AM I'm still trying to figure out.

I don't suppose I could get some pointers or settings for that?

As for Phin-Phin it's still the first model of her really.

It's an old version of what I have now, but she's looking so much better then that version there.

But as I said my most current version of her.... is nekkid... and totally bald.

While I'm sure most of you wouldn't mind her being naked... :P

Well, for the gloss and shine there are a couple of things that matter.

Once you assign the shiny parts to a group, go under the surface properties and add Specularity. Start with a white Specularity colour and small specularity size (5%?) and large intensity (80%).

Then turn up the reflectivity to about 40.

You will notice that the colour of the vehicle will change slightly because it will start reflecting the colour of the objects in the environment so keep that in mind.

Don't forget lighting is important too, so make sure to check that specularity is turned on for any lights.

You will have to play with the settings to get what you like.

Nice plates...Alberta is a great province.

Cheers,

Allright. I'll try those settings out. Thanks for the tips!

Yeah, Alberta is a great province to live in.

I certainly like living there. :P

And now I believe her car to be as complete as it needs to be for what it's being used for.

Yay!

Now for the next hard part: Creating all the props, swimsuits, and a location for the "shoot" to take place.
