johnl3d Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 I saw this asked here quick example model from xtra cd decal on fading card just substitute your brain for the one there ask questions or tell me in I misunderstood or if fade is too quick Basically used gradient combiner to make card transparent with a pose another pigeon brained idea from the tinkering gnome very quick hand scroll to see it better fadeaway.mov Quote
NancyGormezano Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Very nice Mr. Johnl3d AS USUAL! (The very one person whose experiments get me to upgrade every year. Watch out everybody - he's a shill, I just know it! - and if he's not, he should be.) Quote
Pengy Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 i think it was my question you're answering john. i'm honoured i dont think i explained myself clearly so i thought a pic might do a better job. Quote
HomeSlice Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Why not copy the geometry of the green area and place it just above the current green area and set it's pivot to the top edge. Make a cookie-cut decal in a paint program where the alpha channel has a feathered edge on the bottom and apply it to the new geometry(as cookie cut). Make a pose where the new geometry is scaled to 0 on the x-axis at 0% and scalled 100% on the x axis at 100%. Then for the fade, animate the percentage pose from 0-100 in the chor. Quote
johnl3d Posted September 5, 2005 Author Posted September 5, 2005 I did this before but I guess it was not clear hope this helps ...oh by the way the other method mentioned here should also work I just like playing with the gradient combiner second example it shows my age again this is a rough idea Nancy I "shill" thing you do great work even if you do not upgrade I still have not received my comission check for your last upgrade candygram.mov Quote
johnl3d Posted September 5, 2005 Author Posted September 5, 2005 Ok here is the project it includes even the wav file 12V_g Nancy it might work in 11.1 so you don't have to get a newer version candygram.zip Quote
