I made a 12 point circle(could use a 4 point with altered bias handles) then I used the duplicate wizard and copied the circle 45 times and rotated 4 degrees each time on the Y axi. After that I copied the splines twice(I moved them one at a time ) and rotated one on the x 90 and the other copy I rotated 90 on the x and 90 on the y axi's.
