  1. Oh I'm sorry. Read that wrong. What does .0001% look like? There MUST be a way of making it more subtle. . .
  2. I'd try 5%. I think your eyes may be getting bedazzled by the hair fibers reacting differently between your eyeballs. Close one eye. . . then the other while your looking at it. Often things with fine detail like that really draw your eye and make you think they are far more intense than they really are. Also try photographing it in a well lit room without any flash. I think you'll be surprised. My daughter has a scarf made out of that super shiny/soft fiber material. Crazy stuff.
  3. Thats a really nice scene. Love the grass and the flower etc. But that fur. . . nothing shines like that. This was the shiniest one I could find.
  4. I'd say its a bit too shiny and the hair is too uniform in length but it is quite nice. Well done.
  5. Really great work Shaun. Its impressive both in technical quality and animation. Two thumbs up.
  6. OOoOoo GIMME THAT THING SO I CAN LIGHT IT FOR YOU! ;-)
  7. Here is the last of the Dinosaurs that we had/have on eggprops. So now we have a complete set. Again this one was done by Brian and Joe and now (after I re-worked a lot of the rigging and tail geometry) works perfectly in the latest versions of A:M. And here it is! Enjoy.
  8. He got old and died. :-( Was a very sad day.
  9. Thanks. I might try updating again.
  10. So you managed to get it working? I still can't. Quicktime 7 has really messed up that codec I used.
  11. Awww man! That movie has been around since around 2001. On2 was such a great codec. Now with Qt7. . . no one on a PC can watch it. Sorry.
  12. Yup. Thats the idea. Did you follow the link?
  13. Wow. I'm quite impressed. It would be really cool if you could get some specularity on those rocks. Maybe some bump.
  14. Dark is . . . that hair I see growing on your . . .
  15. I had an Iguana that I raised from a little tiny thing no bigger than my thumb. When he was full grown he was over 5 feet long. When cats would come up to his cage. . . he wold get his tail up all funny and just start wacking the crap out of the glass. I'm pretty sure if he had connected with the cat. . . the cat wouldn't be coming back for more. I'll bet its the same with these guys.
  16. There it is! Again Joe and Brian were involved in this guy. The thing I really like about this model is the fact that the decals don't cover the whole dino. . . but they blend in perfectly with the materials underneath. Its a really great piece. You can check it out <here>.
  17. Most of what you can see are decals. There are some procedurals underneath to mix it up a little.
  18. This is the glam shot I just finished rendering for the Pterosaur model on eggprops. It was modeled by Joe Cosman and textured by both Joe and Brian Prince. You can find it <here> And see it in actions over on A:M flims <here>
  19. Boy hose bricks look fantastic. I almost wish the character wasn't there. Not that its bad or anything but it doesn't hold a candle to that background you made. Great composition and lighting.
  20. I like the rust. You bump map seems to be off. Kind of playing tricks with my mind. I think you could work on your gold a lot more. Try lowering the diffuce way way down to like. . . 30%. So its VERY dark. Then put a colored specularity on it. Metal is one of those tricky things. . . Your shadows look like they are at about 60% darkness. Not a fan of that. I always put them at 100. It produces more realistic results and forces you to use better lighting to "fill in" the dark parts. Hope that helps.
  21. I'm sure we can work something out. e-mail me. billy@eggington.net
