  1. I have no testing in TSM2. As for the QT i can pick QT but nothing comes out after the render finishes. I will look into this more.

  2. oK AM to install after restart...but it does not output to quicktime in pc version ..worked fine for tga but even converting them in AM gave me no qt restarted computer still the same and it also after viewing tgas does not seem to translate material as it did in 15e I reinstalled E for now

this is projest I tested atest.prj

how it render in 15 e atest.mov in 15f stayed at first image

Under both Vista and XP i can render your project to a QT file. I will post them when they are done.

  3. In all of my testing there is no need to uninstall 15.0e to use 15.0f As for the CD version we are working on it now.

As for my pool game it has fallen off some lately.

And I would say that i will never say my nick name but I'm sure someone will spill the beans.

  4. Ok I tested this, it looks like the new installer writes and reads that information from a different registry string. So yes it will ask you that the first time you use the new installer.

  5. Welcome back, and welcome everyone that has joined. I'm going to try to make more time to hit up the forums so i will see more of you online!

Oh and any forums admin's at my level or above feel free to edit any of my posts for spelling and grammar at any time to keep me looking smart!

  6. ahhh...Jason must be back from his spa treatments.

    Rendering has resumed.

Haha, Yes it has.. But at this time there maybe down times. We have rendered a massive amount of the movie. At this time, most of the re-renders need a fast turn around so we do them in-house. When I have scenes that we do not have a really fast turn time I put them on WebRender. So if you keep your machines on when you can, you will get jobs from time to time. As of now, we are working on 2_07_12. I know what you are all thinking... But Jason, I already rendered that! Well... Man, I really thought I was going to have a good one to follow that up but, alas, I drew a blank.

  7. I'm having a problem with the current project. Any idea why?

I also keep getting "unable to open project" - seems to be consistently on 2_07_44 (for the past couple of days) - other sequences seem to be ok.

Somehow I get the feeling that Jason probably knows this already?

Haha, Yes I did Nancy but i was in Seattle and the crappy Internet at the hotel would not let me log in to the server for web render.

As for 2_07_92. Shadows was on. I set it up to re-render now and we will see what we get.

  8. Looking swell. Strange....Klips beard should be in the model.

But it's good to know others are out there helping out. I don't like thinking I'm rendering all these on my lonesome (besides the renderfarm). :D

Edit: Does anyone else notice that the first render of a new shot takes longer than the rest. I wonder why.

The reason that the first frame takes longer then all of the rest is the time counts the download and loading time too. All of the frames after that do not need to DL the info so they start faster.

Youngman, What scene is that shot with klu klip with the long bread, and do you know what the render date was?

  9. I'm not sure, if i see that you are still having problem rendering Woot i will look into it. But there is a chance that i's just some random thing I willl not have time to track down.

  10. Yeah i think you are right Nancy it was the decals that did not load.. when i rechecked the project it was not a case issue so I'm not 100% why only one or 2 machines would not render it.. I could be just that frame number or something else. I will know more when we re-render them.

And as for you being a 'smart mouthed dumbass' I'm willing to go head to head anyday for that title.. haha

  11. Yeah i just saw that and changed it, only one frame each machine in.

As for woots brow it looks like either just you or a few machines did not load the .mats right I will re-render those frames in house As webrender has moved on. Thank you all for keeping me abreast of the goings on.

Ok Ok I just wanted to use the word abreast!

PF_Mark I can not see your machine at all. You need to have port 1750 open in your firewall.

  12. Below is a list of software that is known as, or known to include CD Emulation Software that could potentially prevent the application from running properly This list is some what old there have been more programs add over the years but we do not track them.

    PowerISO

    Fantom CD Emulator

    Alcohol 120%

    Nero Image Drive

    Phantom CD

    Clone CD

    Ark Virtual Drive

    Veritas DLA

If you are unsure about how to turn off emulation settings, consult your emulation program help files. If you have emulation software not listed above that does not provide adequate information about how to turn off emulation to avoid software conflicts, and then remove the software from your machine.

    Here are a few examples:

If PowerISO is in the machine:

Look on your task bar at the bottom right of your screen (next to the clock). Locate the PowerISO tray icon, select "Set #of Drives" and select disable.

If Alcohol 120% is on the machine:

Start Alcohol and go to the Emulation Options.

Select Emulation from the options tree. Uncheck the Ignore Media Types box to turn off the media type emulation, exit Alcohol 120% and restart the application.

Select Extra Emulation from the options tree. Uncheck the BAD Sectors Emulation to turn off this type of emulation, exit Alcohol 120% and restart the application.

If CloneCD is on the machine:

Look on your task bar at the bottom right of your screen (next to the clock). Locate the CloneCD tray icon, which can be a picture of two CD-ROMs; or of a sheeps head . Right Click on the icon and make sure Hide CD-R media is un-ticked. Restart the application.

If Daemon Tools is on the machine:

Select the icon at the bottom of the status bar of windows.

    Find the Daemon Tools Icon

Right Click on the Daemon Tools icon in the Task Bar.

    Select the Emulation tab.

    Deselect SafeDisc.

  13. KenH,

I will look into that tonight, I have been meaning to look at those frames in question but have not got the chance yet.

I will keep you all upto date on woots brow, HAHA!

  14. The reason some machines are not getting a job right away when the sign is that I have to reset the SVN Cache on each machine b4 they can join a job so of the last few scenes in 1_04 'auto join' is turned off. I log in as much as i can and look for new machines to add to the 'pool' but this has to be done manually on my end.

For 2_07 auto join will be back up. As all of the scenes we are going to use will be new to webrender.

Jason can you tell me if you can see my system? I have tried several times to join in on this but I can not get the web render icon to connect. I ahve assumed this is a firewall problem at my end but thought I ask if you can even see my system at all? I will leave it running Tell Sunday night seeing I will be out of town.

    What is your system name?

  15. KenH,

I'm not sure what is making the funkiness of Woots brow. If it's only a few frames then i will just have Holmes give them a photo shop waxing. If it's more then a few we will have to look into it more later.

    Nancy,

Yes i forgot to turn hair on for that scene but caught it and reset it up. So now we have the right frames.

  16. 17. Hello,

Yes we are back in 1_04, There was a few things that needed to be re rendered and it was more then I could get done on the machines I own and the spare machines at Hash at this time. Once we burn threw those scenes we will be back into 2_07.

  18. I'm Watching "WebRender" closer now that I'm back in town i was in Seattle and the Internet was limited. I was not able to log into remote machines or send email with outlook. So i will be able to get more data on why Some clients are hanging.

"Act 1, Sequence 1, Scene 17" was re-rendered in house with hair.

  19. i have removed the known 'hanging' Scenes from web render now. We will either have to render them in house or see why they are hanging.

jzawacki, I had the same problem on my XP, AMD, ATI Laptop i updated my video driver set and it fixed it. I'm not sure if there was a change but it's working now.

  20. The first 2 images you posted Nancy, seems to be the hay stack on the cart coming into view. The dynamics on the hair/hay is probably the problem. Did someone set collision on it? I know it wasn't on before.

The straw hair does not seem to have collision on.

Correction: the HAY material DOES have collisions on. Straw hair does not.

I turned collisions off and updated the .mat and project file. It's now back on the WebRender "stack" Lets see if that helps the frames and render times.
