Hey Mark you've morphed again!
I agree with Rodney.
You could have your hero look up as he's spotted the offscreen monster, his eyes follow as the monster falls and we get to see it briefly as it lands.
You could maybe cut to a close up of your terrified hero?

WOW!
That fish is amazing Hutch!

Nice job Robert, it's really starting to take shape.

Having IK arm and legs on hides the bones, turning them off will unhide them.
Hey thanks! You've solved my problem. All is now clear!
Thanks to all who contributed.

No, I got this problem first when I did the "Boneless Thom" exercise.
I had to change the bones viewed just to do the exercise.
Once I altered the bone on view I could then save but I'd rather the default was the same as in the AOAM book.
It also happened when I modified the existing Tarzan model to create a super-hero figure.
The weird thing with that one was that when I placed the figure in a choriography it was fine, I rendered a pic and returned to choriography only to find that the arm and leg bones had dissapeared!
I can manually get the view back.
BTW I'm using v11t.

That looks really lifelike Colin!
Are you even going to need smartskinning?
-
Hi all!
Since I've changed computers and OS (now running xp) I find that when I load a character with 2001 rigg into a choreogrophy and view in skeletal mode some bones (arm and leg bones) do not show up.
I can, of course change this manually but it is tedious to have to do this every time.
Is there a way I can set up A:M so that these bones show up by default?
Thanks.

I like the purple skin though, there must be a story there.
Maybe too much Ribena! (If you don't have Ribena in the states this'll fall on deaf ears!) It's a blackcurrent drink BTW!
Here's a couple more, he will need a bit of adjustment to rigging due to my tampering with the presumably functioning original!

Love your hero Andy!
He's really starting to come to life.

Great work David and good luck in the competition.
-
Hi David!
You've made a good start there although it needs a little tweeking.
The transition from the grass at the back looks man made rather than natural as does the contours of your hill.
This may, of course, be intended but if it isn't I'd introduce a little randomeness into those shapes.
Hope this helps and please post the fly over.

Cool animation, very professional!
How much more structural detail should I add in on each (screens/tower)?You shouldn't need to add any further details to the screens, given that they are already showing images and are not on screen for long.
As you're planning a countdown and flash from the tower I'd complete the effect before considering extra tower detail.
It sounds like the viewers attention will be focused on relatively small area so extra detail may not be needed.
Good luck and keep posting!

Well done Bill, I'm sure you're on track to finish before the Christmas hols.
Did you try out the rig with the resolute walk?
I notice that the knee bones are pointing outwards instead of forwards, I would be interested to know if it made any difference when animated?
Keep up the good work Bill.

Great giraffe Bill, and nice to see a face to your name!
I had the problems with holes appearing on my girraffe, it seems that sometimes you fix one and another appears.
Worth doing though, it makes you think about how to use the program rather than just copy.
Mark, your idea and Eric's variation sound interesting.
Yet another variation would be to expand on the current AOAM exercises. To some degree that's already happening, I've yet to see two "door's stuck" that were the same.
-
Nice work Bill.
I have to agree that was also a favourite exercise of mine.
Years ago I had a polygon based raytracer and never came close to building anything like the FW190.
This exercise really demonstrates how good spline modeling is.
Let us know what you think of the giraffe exercise, I found it more difficult than the aircraft.
Keep those posts coming Bill!

The texture on the books looks fantastic!
I know it may be a little surreal but when you animate have you considered animating the waterfalls in the picture on the wall?
Keep up the good work Daniel.
Best Wishes

I've also done some work on John's modelling tutorial for the Osprey, though I haven't done the engine part yet.
Hey, that's a cool model.
Excuse my ignorance but what's an Osprey??
-
Even better now it's finished Jesús!
The sound really adds to the overall effect, well done.
-
Great work on the flower Richard!
You've quite literaly brought it to life.
Nice work with the lighting too, well done, you're working at some pace, keep it up!
-
Cool sidestripes Richard.
-
Hey racreel!
I echo Bill's remarks, great work on "Say That".
Rodney, no problems with the delay, if we don't have patience we've sure picked the wrong hobby.
I should also note that we've lost a few spliners along the wayDo you mean lost altogether or from the begginers section?
I come across Pengy and Hutch in some of the other forums but it's been a long time since I've noticed D Piat.
Ah well, must be off now, power point exam coming soon, see you later.

Shows what a great system you've got, a glance through the modeling list tells me over half of them are now complete.
Checking them off must help spur you on.

Wonderful work!
Congratulations to all entrants and well done the winners!!

That's a big improvement to an already exceptional picture.
I think you are right to have doubts about the big flower in the foreground though.
The eye is naturally drawn to red and the foreground flower is the largest patch of red.
It's a good idea to have something blurred in the foreground to frame and maybe add depth to the picture.
You'd maybe consider replacing it with some greenery which should add depth without drawing attention from the flowers.
Hope this helps.
