  1. Of course, half the work.

What about clothing? She will be wearing some...am I better to model the clothing fixed to her (but then I'd have to make a whole new model if she wore different clothing) or to add it later as a separate cloth model?

Or is it just persomal preference?

    Thanks

  2. OK, I'm going to tackle modelling a character. I've created some images in Poser and my plan is to use them as rotoscopes. The character will be used for toon renders.

Are these pics OK for the rotoscoping process, or should I have done something differently? I don't want to make problems for myself before I start.

    Thanks

  3. Hi, guys

I've been playing around with wav files for my animations and I'm wondering...is it possible to:

    1) record a new voice onto an existing wav file so that 2 voices speak at the same time? (the original Wav only has 1 voice)

    or

    2) achieve this effect in any other way?

The wav editor I use is VoiceOn.

Any help (or just a "no,you can't do that") would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Mike......that's correct. I was thinking the same thing about waiting.

Just go to the download page, download version 11 and away you go....I've been using it this afternoon.

    Have fun with it!

  5. Thanks for the replies, guys.

Paul, I didn't realise I had bought up to v11.

I've now downloaded it and I'm running both 10.5 and 11 on my system.....the best of both worlds!

    cheers

  6. Hi guys

I purchased Animation:Master v10.5 a couple weeks ago (the Orang Utan version) and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to version 11 while I'm still learning, or if I should wait to learn the basics on 10.5, then upgrade later.

One concern is that the booklet that came with my CD is for version 10.5, and if I try to learn on v11, things might be different and may delay my learning.

    Any thoughts from v11 users?

    Thanx

  7. I've never used one of those sites, though I would get them to send the file as an uncompressed .wav file (44k hz, 16bit)...no point in using a compressed sound format for the original material.

I have a free MP3 to WAV converter on my PC, ragtag, so there's no problem there.

Angelo, I took a look at your site and it seems you use professional actors. All I want is a female voice to say a few lines for a character in a trailer I'm putting together for an animation.

    Thanx

  8. Hi, fellow Hashers,

I've seen various internet sites offering voice-overs by actors where you send them a script and they get someone to read the lines, for a price, then they mail it to you as an MP3.

has anyone used this resource at all for their animation? Any experiences, good or bad?

    Thanx

    Adam

  9. My first "real" animation in A:M, much like omoanime, is going to be an anime project I've been planning out for a while.

However, I realise I've got a long way to go and a lot to learn before I start doing the animation. First I need to learn all the nuances of Animation:Master so that I can set up my work flow for that main project.

That means I'm going to be doing a lot of short stuff, in different styles, and hopefully enter some of the contests on the Hash site.

Another project I have been toying with is animating one or all of my published books (three Westerns), but again that will be in the future, after I climb a pretty steep learning curve.

For now, I'm enjoying learning and playing with A:M, but always with those future goals in mind.
