  1. [James gets up from floor after falling off chair] YIKES!! That gave me the heebee jeebees. I DID NOT DID NOT expect it to just jump out like that. ...now all the creepy spider stories come out... You are a talent.
  2. ooowaaaahh! Shaun, I must say that is waay out there. Very nice indeed. In terms of lighting, I wholeheartedly agree, I've been experimenting with John Henderson's SkyCast and the results are quite good. Actually, I found out about SkyCast from your site! Can't wait to see the final piece.
  3. w-o-w! Wut?!? That was done in AM? I guess so. Just looking at this thread and saw it grow legs and take off. Great work. Very inspirational [...James shakes head in shear amazement]
  4. Hey Gerry, nice work! Dunno if you've tried it, but FlashMX has a video import from Quicktime that gives you more granular control on the compression. It uses the Sorenson algorithm and it worked pretty good for my newbie project in AM. For example, my first animation since picking up AM about a week or so ago cut the file size in half using Flash MX. It outputs as a .swf file and naturally can play embedded with a browser that has Flash installed which is almost all major browsers. Depending on how much clarity you want, it might just work out. Try it out and good luck!
  5. I checked out the demos. Quite nice indeed. I just bought AM this week and can see so much has been done with the program. I've seen some really exceptional work and Skycast refines the rendering to another level. I downloaded the trial/freebie and it's, it's...very cool! I have yet to make anything with AM resembling something decent, but I'm going to try out Skycast. The demo he has is also very helpful.
