  1. *grin* I like big butts and i can not hide, what other boys cant deny...

I like nice (ah, lets say feminine) butts, but I dont know... it is a little bit too much, dont you think so? She has to be a little bit taller or anything... cant really say what it is...

It is really just a nuance (just a tiny-little bit too much)

  2. It is a really great model, but I dont know... is this woman not too small?

I think she has a damn big backside for her size, and I think you should try to make the muscles a little less seeable... it's great because you know the whole muscles in a human body and that is quite impressive, but she looks like a women from a muscle-competition.... I would be happy if my muscles were as trained as her muscles are...

Hm... and I think the knees are a little bit too small... even the thinest person couldnt stay one that knees...

But maybe that is just your style...

But in the end I am VERY impressed....

  3. HDRI is a new technologie, which (to my knowledge) cant be produced by User, but by the programm... A:M cant produce or handle this high dynamic range pictures....

But in most cases it wont be neccessary to use this pictures....

An alternative to GI or Radiosity can be found on this side:

    Skylight

(he explains in detail what caustics are, what radiocity is and so on... nice page...)

Best way to post animations in the net... there is no "best way", otherwise we all would use this one...

It really depends on what you want... just downloadable: Divx-Codec and may be Quicktime with Sorenson 3.

You want to make this Files "not downloadable"? Use Quicktime and implent it in a HTML- page(If you dont know how, try to use a Webeditor like NamoWebeditor, Dreamweaver, Fusion, Golive, etc.)

I cant tell you much more about streaming, but that's again Quicktime or Real....

Divx is great, but I dont know if Macs can read the Codec.(?)

Quicktime can be read by both platforms.

The whole animation in 3d in the webbrowser?

    http://www.arcticpigs.com/

....and so on... you have to say what you want exactly...

  4. A:M can be run on a ,I dont know, maybe a PIII 450Mhz or something...

Your Graka should have a OpenGL-Driver(good, but not needed) but in the end, you can run A:M on really "bad" computers...

I use a Athlon XP 2000+ with 768 MB RAM as PC and a Athlon 64 3000+ with 512MB RAM.

Both are rendering fine and A:M runs fine...

I dont like the Laptoptastatur cause of the lack of the numberpad, but you can work with it.

BUT you will notice your computerpower when you render.... it will take longer...

  5. The *.mdl-format for Halflife is a Polygone-format,

the a:m *.mdl-format from A:M is a spline format... so even so the names of the models are the same, they are not the same format...

As said before: Milkshape is a good format for that...

  6. I dont know but i dont think that Bodypaint3d or so reimport the model...

they just reimport the textures and the uv-coordinates...

    wouldnt that be possible?

    *Fuchur*

  7. You are new to A:M, eh? *gg*

That is a buggy feature... cloth is nice, and often it is functional, but sometimes not... A:M is able to simulate everything so a "cant do this" is not needed... it is a bug, nothing more... but I can simulate everything...

    *Fuchur*

  8. Hm... it would be very nice if you could work close together with Hash...

It would be great if this feature could be implented directly in A:M and wouldnt be an external solution... that would erase the problem with reimporting...

You could ask Hash if they would be willing to pay something (not much so, it is a small company) for your knowledge and work... or maybe if they could implent it to A:M and if we like to activate the feature, we would have to pay 20 bugs or something for it...

I dont know, but the new hairfeature was although a feature which was worked out with a company or so, right?

I am very interested in you work and would be willing to pay 20 bugs for it...

  9. What you will need is a Pose for

    A/K ; O/U/Q ; W/(F)/V ; M/B/P ; TH ; I/smile/(S) ; Others ;

In many cases this poses will be enough to make good lipsyn.

But you have to adjust them right...

  10. Personally I dont like the dopesheed-feature...

You should go to the timeline, import a wav-file and than do it by hand step by step... that is quite easy and will help you to get good results...

    *Fuchur*

  11. It should be okay... but you should a write a mail to Hash who owns the licens now...

Prinziple it is no problem because only one person uses one licens....

It would be better to buy a new licens, because that supports Hash better, but I dont see anything what would be illegal about buying a used A:M-version...

  12. Final Cut is only available for Mac, right?

So if you like to go to a Mac... i cant help u much...

    For PC:

    Premiere would be okay...

or Pinnacle Liquid/(maybe even) studio, maybe Vegas 5 or something would do it, too...

Sound is often made with sonic soundforge...

Many people laugh about it, but I think even Magix Musicmaker deluxe would offer enough power...

A:M (or other 3d-software) wont be enough to make web3d... you will need

arcticpigs-plugin for A:M(it is in beta now) , for other packages maybe Director -> Shockwave3d or something compareable...

You will need Photoshop and you should have a vectorprogram such as illustrator or free hand...

After Effects is needed for Composing and stuff.. maybe ther are other programms out there you could use, but After Effects is one of the best known...

I think you will although need such programs as Powerpoint, Exel, etc to start...

if you dont like them or u dont like to spend so much money you could although try open office... (but you have to export as a Powerpoint, Exel, Word-Dokument, etc...)

I am not the owner of a studio or something... I just worked(as a Freelancer) for one small studio which needs this programs...

Maybe there are some more things you will need...

  13. Opening are very easy to make:

Just use 6 or 5 points in your spline and you wont get a patch... then extrude that...

Arrays... dont exactly know what u mean but we most often do it by hand or by the flocking-system in A:M.... look in your manual for more infos about flocking-systems...

    *Fuchur*

  14. There are some other tools which use Patchmodelling and Splines in some kind of way... I think you are trying to get an idea of how to model with splines and patches...

The forumrules dont allow to name this programs, but why dont u just search for "spline", "patch" and something like that in google?

But I think there is NO programm that has got such improved splines as A:M...

    They are really great...
