  1. [attachmentid=17879] This is an Updated Video(7-1-06) Used a Displacement Map for this terrain. Did the camera movements, then recorded to .mov; then used the .mov file as a layer. Simply dropped in the "Cockpit" model and positioned it to the camera and re-recorded the animation. NOTE 1: I had to use .wmv because of file size. I dont know if I can get away with posting a zip- file (.avi/.mov) of 1.9mb size? If I can, itll be posted on a NEW POST. NOTE 2: It says .avi when downloading, but its actually a .wmv? Just rename it, or it should be fine as is? Semi-calculated? It is doing what I expected visual wise. With calculated realistic moves, itll be somewhat cooler and conceptualized... Just a little effort into Flight Simulation mechanics this time... It has potential.
  2. That is definately cool work... Cant imagine the time involved, and Patience.... Cool though!
  3. So far so good... (6-17-06) Spent the WHOLE day on this sucker, making changes and touching up with Displays and other controls. Also added color for more interest... [attachmentid=17554] (6-18-06) Added the Control Stick.... Ooops!, just noticed, forgot the trigger? Next update I guess... [attachmentid=17559] (6-19-06) Added the seat "cushion". Next is: parts of the seat "frame". I was almost in Fray because I wasnt sure how to make the seat look like it had "padding" due to the shape of the seat. But for the moment, it seems satisfactory for a seat? Also added the trigger. I still have to fill it with more unique controls/buttons/seatbelt/glove compartment...just joking.... but I seem to be beyond the half-way point with alot of the main features inside the cockpit. I havent started thinking about any exterior parts that should be seen from inside? [attachmentid=17591]
  4. Yes, this is an original design. Just referencing photos for the basic layout of a cockpit. But the interior design is going to be an original (though likely not practical to a Pilots point of view?) The Idea came from a video game perspective. Im not sure as to whether Ill have to actually create the entire plane body or not? Depends on the perspective from the cockpit when I get further along? I should make up a name for this (Fighter Plane); as thats basically what Im going for. Im thinking maybe: the "Muff-16 Dogger" -> "M-16D"
  5. If this topic SPecifically refers to animating in A:M, then the best suggestion I would absolutely recommend is to buy 2 specific CD's/DVD's. 1)Jeff Lews - Character animation : He does a complete animation using A:M at the end of the DVD, and I learned alot from watching it and the things he was doing. Its worth it. [A:M specific though?] 2)Hash's Siggraph 2002 Training Video: Alison Kennedy does a complete animation using A:M that is very worth-while and thorough. Very Good to watch as she explains everything shes doing. [Again A:M specific]
  6. Like mentined. A:M can be saved in a few formats and MANY resolutions. At render time (render to file), my best guess is to choose BMP because of it being uncompressed. Now as far as the Resolution, there is quite a few options that you have to choose from. That would be a matter of trial for which resolution gives the best result. From this point on, any image/paint program (both free and comercial) can open the BMP and most likely allow any number of options for saving to Png, Tga, etc. This all depends on the export options of the image program of course? A:m really doesnt have any "specialized" Exporting to a specific programs file extension.
  7. [attachmentid=17517][attachmentid=17516] O.K... Heres an Update... (6-16-06) Working on Controls, buttons, switches etc. This is just a getting started preview...(6-14-06) [attachmentid=17475][attachmentid=17474] This is hopefully gunna be designed for the camera view (via constraints), some sort of 1st person view model design.
  8. [attachmentid=17429][attachmentid=17428][attachmentid=17427] Dug this one out and straightened out the neck. Its still not perfect though? I just wanted to get it up on here, so I didnt spend days tweaking the thing... But its probably satisfactory?
  9. [attachmentid=17420][attachmentid=17419][attachmentid=17418] Trying to figure out what to do with it - as in build onto? But its a start.
  10. [attachmentid=17093] This looks plain because of no textures. But you should get the idea? At least 95% finished. Also another to ADD towards the Extras DVD if desired. By the way..... Rodney..... I have these 3 newer models: G_Loader Gun/Corridor and this Fence Enclosure. Should I send them for the Extras DVD? Heres an Update. May not seem like much, but the single piece that goes to the Right Angle is detachable to expand the enclosure to any number in length. I also varied the Fence Rails height for more interest. [attachmentid=17120]
  11. The only thing I can say stands out is something with the Cheek and Jawline; seem a little too flattened out towards the front - or maybe not enough space/distance between their seperation?
  12. [attachmentid=17422][attachmentid=17421] Updated here... Heres a Minor Update with an airlock and console. Not much but a little at a time. Have many models going at once! Another model Im gunna try to have added to the Extras DVD. Also hoping to expand on it to make "interchangable" pieces for swapping in/out of related various scenes. [attachmentid=17058]
  13. Heres a modified weapon Id love to contribute to the DVD. Ive spruced it up for originality sakes. Its been laying around for a long time! Let me know if I should send it to you RODNEY? [attachmentid=17041] [attachmentid=17036][attachmentid=17037] [attachmentid=17038][attachmentid=17039] Added the Lights Today(Sat5-27).
  14. The information for these models is basically just doodling around for my own leasure and to see what anyone thinks? I havent made the time yet, but it would be interesting to see what they would look like with some REAL Textures/Maps applied; other than drab looking solid colors? Just for Fun you know... Ive seen 2 or 3 responses for wanting these models, and Id be more than happy to send them... Ill e-mail to confirm a send to these responses. And thanks for the good words about them! Its inspiring to hear! Note: Im inclined to let these stand as part of the DVD extras rather than sending them out upon request -excepting for the few responses already made. I would love to give them out for whoever asks, but Im not sure of the time involved should I get more (and/or more) requests for sending. So sorry if my post is confusing to anyone just seeing it in regards to the already replied messages. I dont want to fill this Topic up with my mere jibberish; so Ive sorta edited this same Topic a couple times. All of these models are basic Copy->Paste->Connect and repeat the process; all the while making sure that things are lined up decently and not just a pile of spagetti splines. The only thing I found as a sure thing is to plan ahead of time so that you dont have to go back and stitch in something that could have used an extra spline somewhere -that is such a pain! But its really straight forward planning for each section. Buildings are also a great way to make use of 3-point patches because of straight surfaces.
