  1. That is some great history information. Thank you. I’m surprised by the fact that the variety of the .prj scene files wasn’t as big as I expected, but still some of these look interesting. Could you please show me some Shaded/Wireframe screenshots and final renders of “Jumper”, “Moonscape” and “roof top mayhem”? I guess this is what I was mainly thinking about. Well, I know the fact that the majority of the character models from that timeframe were characters from the “Why does the wind blow?” short film, but I guess that the rest of the content in that category was varying during that time (a lot of the models and especially the “realistic”, “anime” and “vehicles” categories), right? That’s strange. I even thought the scene with the two dragons (which was seen on the cover of the second edition of the Animation Master handbook by Jeff Paries) would also be included. This probably means that at the time they were released as separate models without a .prj file? I know I saw the tree model from that scene being used as a bush for an animated project from 1998 before (which might have been created using version 6). Also, what was the list of the motion capture files that were included? And in case you don't feel I'm asking for too much, what did the models which were coming from the tutorials folder look like, as well as the more refined of the “realistic”, “anime” and “vehicles” models (that weren’t included in the Extras CD) in AM2000? I would like to see screen captures of some in Shaded/Wireframe mode.
  2. So as you probably have noticed, I don't just love Animation: Master, but I’m also very interested in its’ development history and I just wanted to know what .prj scene files were included at the time on the CDs of the software. Were some of them scenes from the showcase gallery here? https://forums.hash.com/gallery/album/1-showcase/ If yes, then which of them were in these two versions? Also for the scenes that are not included in the gallery, could you show me some wireframe screenshots and final renders of what they looked like (including information about which were included on which CD)? I’m talking about .prj files which are not included in the Extras CD. In the end, how frequently was the content changing from versions 5 (1997) to 8.5 (2001)? Did it just expand from CD to CD, or even though most of the .prj scene files would be the same during that timeframe, (just as with the case of the versions from 2002 and later, when the majority of the content had been replaced) there would be also some content that would frequently change too, even back then? I’m not asking you to send me any of the files, but I’m just curious.
  3. Thanks Robert. The idea behind the use of photographed scenery was based under the concept of how back in the old days animators drew animated character cels and layed them on top of the hand painted backgrounds, as well as from how "The Adventures of Andre and Wally B" was done (rendering the characters seperately from the backgrounds, both of which were done using computer graphics). It also came from the fact that enviroment modeling is the most challenging part from my experience and the hardest thing for me is to model nice and realistic looking buildings, enviroments, as well as complex mechanical objects and parts, where I need a lot of practice. I really enjoy modeling and sometimes designing characters however, especialy cartoony ones.
  4. Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
  5. While I was somewhat active on this forum, I was also creating alot of things I've never shared with you, until now. I was (and I still am) using Animation: Master for many years to create 3D work. I was also learning other animation software as well and I think I have improved my knowledge for animation in general alot since then. Here are some of my best projects I created using Animation: Master. I should also mention that only the first of the five animated projects I created has subtitles. 2015 This animated short film was created to show some of the most exciting attractions of my city, Drama, located in Greece. 2016 In this advertisement, made for both TV and internet, I was responsible for creating and presenting a new mascot for Oniroupole (dreamtown), which is a Christmas village that is built every winter in my city’s park and is a famous touristic attraction. 2019 Some of the contemporary saints and the great things they did. All of the theological projects here were created for the School of Theology of the Aristotele University of Thessaloniki. 2020 Here is saint Patrick saying "Thank you, deeply". This animation was part of a PowerPoint project. 2021 A synopsis of saint Dimirtios' life.
  6. Hello. I just returned to the A:M Forum because something weird happend to my 3D viewport. A red font apeared on my screen (I don't even know what I pressed, but it suppose was a big mistake and I know it has to do with keyfreaming). I think this is a very stupid question but how do I get that off? I would be glad if you could explain to me. If I'm not very clear, here's the thing Im talking about.
  7. I once heard you could download Jeff Lew's "Learning Character Animation" (his 3 character models) from his wbsite, without having bought the DVD set. As his website is closed (I think), I'd like to know if someone has a coppy of them. could you plese send those 3D models to my pofile? Thanks!
  8. In 14/5/2 I finished working in this short film. I hope you'll like it as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77455331/Destroyed%20Neighbourhoods.AVI
  9. Unfortunately, nothing worked at all. Even at the simplest scenes I get the same problem!
  10. If anyone remembers the short film I was working on in 2013, I'd like to inform you that it's finaly finished (14/5/2). I hope you'll like it as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77455331/Destroyed%20Neighbourhoods.AVI
  11. 1) That's what hapened when I pressed "OK". Is this a bug report or what? 2) There are also the render settings I used.
  12. Now I also tried to have ".TGA" image sequences but again It didn't work!
  13. Practicly I'm using 18.0b SSE4 now. But yes i used (uncompressed) but it didn't work. Weird, isn't it? By the way, I had almost 3 whole months to render videos. I suppose that's the problem. And yes I do have RAM.
  14. For some reason, when I rendered the scene in ".Avi" A:M was crashing a lot! And so I felt I had to ask you what's wrong in that. I also posted a screenshot of a frame I captured inside the software (using Render Mode "Q").
  15. Rig: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=136 Great! Hope somebody gets a kick out of it. And hey, if you do rig the model, upload it here, so other folks can play with it.
  16. Very nice model retopology, but : Scupltress? Don't you mean Sculptris?
  17. That knight is "GOOFY"!!! "yaaaaaaa-hoo-hoo-hooey!". Great job there, Simon. You made me laugh at the ending.
  18. John, I'm Here to help you with your project! Please, accept me! Rodney posted some characters we miss from older versions of A:M http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46023 I think Sally would make a prefect doll, Spikey's eyes "with the eyebrows" would be useful for your charaters "please, use them (you are also free to modify the eyes the way you want)" and the characters you must use are "Galoop, Critter, Spikey, Flim Flam, Sally, Gurgle Glug, Billy, Ted, Professor, Tea Lady, Prinsess, Gent". Now, he also posted some A:M EXTRAS characters: http://www.hash.com/amtutes/X_Vol001/Menu/ Please, use "Mika in a Dress, Chameleon, Howie, Mick, Ricky Rat ,Neutron and Female B". I think Buzz, Marvin the Martian, the Skeleton, Gnome, Thom, Gala, Ms. Goodbody , Rabbit (2002 version), Wookie, Kee Kat, Old Man, the Alien with the blue shirt and Eddie "in my opinion" can't make very perfect toys "for your project". You can re-rig the old ones and all of them with the 2008 rig "if you want, please.I realy want to see them (the 1998 characters) back in action, because they're my favourite models ever! Anyway, Eggiton posted some more models on their website and I downloaded some for you. Please, use them! Cartoon Elephant Cartoon Saucer 5 cars (I think) And an older rabbit version that would make a better plush toy "in my opinion". WARNING. YOU MUST ALSO GIVE TYPES OF TOYS AND FEELINGS TO EACH MODEL: Fish (from 1999): Plastic Galoop: Plush Critter: Plastic Spikey: Plush Flim Flam: Plush Sally: Doll Gurgle Glug: Plush Billy: Ragdoll Ted: Plush Professor: Plastic Tea Lady: Plush Prinsess: Doll Gent: Plush Mika in a dress: Figma Cameleon: Plastic Howie: Plush Mick: Plush Ricky Rat: Robotic (press his arm and he will move) Neutron: Plastic Female B: Plastic Yetti: Robotic (press his arm and he will move) Red Robot: Metal Little Furry guy: Plush "CartoonRabbit1.mdl" : Plush Cartoon Elephant: Plastic Knight: Metal Shaggy: Puppet Cars (all of them): Plastic (with moving tires) Hope I helped! Anyway, I hope you will like the models. Car.zip Other_Cars.zip CartoonElephant.zip Cartoons_2.zip
  19. Okay! I decided to use the "COOL GUY" another time , but I also wanted to use a mask model included in v4 (I don't know if you have it in v3, but It's surely possible to import the "Sculpture" file in ".mdl" files).
  20. Yes I had my own models, but they available on turbosquid and you'll need to register for download my models : http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/JACK-2000 Please, don't use the blue alien. Now, I'll be uploading my models for A:M here ( In The forum )! Here is an update of one of my models: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...mp;#entry394538
  21. Yes! It has another name: 1)It's a ".mdl" file I realy needed right now included from v5 until v9. 2)It's in an "Image-Contest" folder somewere. If there isn't that folder, maybe it's in the "Projects" folder. 3)Copy the Projects folder in your Documents (or somewere else) and try to open from each folders the ".prj" files (to see in what project he is). 4)If you found him, put the ".mdl" file of the character in the ".zip" file. If you didn't, maybe he's in an old extras CD (I don't know if there was something like that back then). GOOD LUCK! Anyway, It seems strange why you can't find him! If so, then how he was used by others?
  22. I can't bellive why it takes hours to wait for Robert to upload the character from the scene. I remember things were faster when someone wanted to use ("Putty Baby" for example) from an old A:M user: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39408
