OK whenever i am modeling sometimes i use the lathe key. but then maybe i wont like what is lathed so i select it and delete it. but when i try to make more splines they wont show up. its pretty much like deleting a lathed item makes any other splins that i try to create invisible.

Thanks, but hey i have a problem, i cant upload my picture. i took a picture of myself and uploaded it onto the computer. but it wouldnt upload the picture. ill try again though. but it did say notify some kind of person. so for now ill stick with mouse and cheese. sadly though the photo is not showing up ok i got my avatar up. i tried using th picture of myself for my avatar but it said it was too big, any possible way for me to size it down?

the camera moves around i bit to much i suppose and i kinda might have figured out why there s no sound. al the compression ive been doing multiply has maybe someohw muted the sound or something. i think i can find a file still with sound and send it to you. the camera im not quite sure why it moved so much it might have been contrainted. seems so on the waving because it moved back and forth. but the first part when it moved out was the kinda show the guy getting shot. but im still learning with the camera. Also ill be getting a picture into my profile. so you can see what i look like. I might seem a bit young ( im in middle school) but im almost 13

ok thanks but when will we start going through the exercises in the manual together. ive been doing a few of the video manual ones. also the lid lifts up too. i guess i shoudve put a photo of that in there. ill try to get one in later.

thanks. the only lighting i did though was put lights onto 2 sreet lamps. and did a fianl render. about taking almost 48 hours! i was thinking it might be the many trees but im no sure.

ummm ya shaggy was holding a gun. its a bit easier to understand with sound, but i dont know what happen to the sound. not really sure

Ive learned a lot from Rodney and others that have helped me with things. especially modeling. so now ive learned how to make a cude easily. super easily. in less than a minute i guess. but using a cube ive made i made a pretty good looking garbage can. my first ever completed model that involves inorganic city street models garbage_can.bmp garbage_can1.bmp Also how do you make the pictures just visible on the post like ive seen before, because i could only do this. where you download it.

i finally got this animations file size lowered so it should be able to be uploaded here it is, i uploaded it finally!!!!!! ians_birthday_party3.mov if the sound happens to work for you then great because its not working on my computer or is it the file. i dont know, im not really sure

hey i cant upload my animation into a post and i dont know why is the file to big? i did change it to a .mov format, but when i changed to to a .mov format the file size also got like 5x bigger. so then i tried to upload the file and it never uploads. i tried to upload it and let it sit for like 10 minutes but it never uploads it just sits there saying uploading. the circle thing that shows its uploading is moving too.

oh ok so its already there. thanks for the info ill be able to do this now!

ok i found out that i have a lot of models.. about 6 trees 4 sidewalks 2 shaggys 2 street lights a fire hydrant a telephone booth and a truck. also the animation is 222 frames long with 24 fps. im doing a final render too with alpha buffer, final, shadows and reflections, levels 2 Would this happen to cause a long render????

i like that stairs scene a lot! just wondering did you use AM paint? im new to A:M and i dont know too much about this stuff.

what is sorensen 3 compression? is it automatically on the save as window thats opened up when u click save as or do i have to download it?

ok i cant see the video, at all its just blank white. it says im missing something for quicktime but it doesnt give me something to download the thing im missing.

ok i understand the audacity thing now how to change format but i have no clue still how to change format for a .avi file that was rendered out. can anyone else help out?

OK this is kind of hard to explain with out an aimated example but when i animate i dont know how to make something to start move from a certain frame. For example. say im animating a guy jumping. when i get to frame 5:00 or so i start to make him go up into the air but when i do this he starts going up into te air slowly from frame 0 instead of a few frames befor 5:00. i dont know how to make it so i doesnt do this?? is there a certain button or mode to make the movement start from a certain frame instead of from the beginning. Also what is the button force key frame can any of you give me what it does and how to use it etc??

If you want it done and you do not mind shaded renders that's sthe fastest way to go. To do this when you render click advance then 2nd tab is options then top line is quality click to right of that and selected shaded render. After that is done you can do a final later on when you have 2 days to render it ok what im starting to see is that it says time remailing about 2 days (in hours) but the average time says about seven hours and that sems a lot shorter. is the average time the real time or the time remainig the real time.

OK i have an animation that ive made thats about 10 seconds long, but it starting to say itll take about 2 days just to render out all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or like 42 hours, is this going to be really that long ir will the time shortenup a lot??? because ive got to have this done in less than 24 hours. AYE KARAMBA!!! its for a friends birthday present.

hey i have one big problem, i dont know how to change a .avi file taht i have for an animation to a .mov file. could someone show me how. also i got a sound recrding program called audacity that i found on these forums and i made some sound files from it but i dont know how to change the format of the sound to .wav. if anyone has any comments or suggestion that'd be great because i have no clue how to change the format.

wow!!!!!!! i love that. it is really cool. sadly i want be making anything that good for a long time, i just got animation master this christmas, and im still learning a lot of stuff. i cant even model basic stuff like a basic cude very well yet!!!!! heh but i love your prison. Also do you knnow where i could get some extra help im mmodeling besides the manual.

IF any of you know very well im not quite sure how to model a cube. usually all i get is a square tunnel that has 2 sides open. Im not quite sure how to atch it and im not sure what a few of the modeling tools are and do. If any of you can help me then that'd be great, thanks.

Hey when your animating say a story on a choreography how do you get the camera to move, for example if someones walking around a corner of the street how do you get the camera to move with him.

Hey i got version 13 for christmas then i got 14 from this website for dowloading it free, but when i looked into the libraby for version 14 nothing is there at all. also for the extra dvd, i dont get how to run it. it doesnt work on my computer or on a dvd player. any suggestions?
